Course: CEH 0403 - A Rehabilitative Professionals Guide: Trauma-Informed Care Across the Lifespan

This introductory level continuing education course is available for practicing occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists or students who are interested in increasing their knowledge and competence in using a trauma-informed approach. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the neuroscience behind trauma, learn resilience/ coping strategies to provide a trauma-informed approach and minimize secondary trauma, and apply those strategies when working with individuals across the lifespan (pediatrics, adults, older adults). By the end of the course, participants will have a toolkit that will guide them in their practice and help foster a trauma-informed atmosphere.
