Description

Course 3: Outlier Behaviors and Intensive Interventions CEE 0340

Participants in this course will learn to set the stage for working with students who demonstrate intensely atypical behaviors. They will identify steps to developing strong relationships with students in order to reduce the likelihood of intense behaviors.  Participants in this class will also learn they dive deeper into the physical approach to students and crisis and how that approach affects student response.  Participants will also be introduced to a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan that uses pieces of the ALSUP to involve the student in their own problem solving as it relates to their significant behaviors. Data collection and analysis will be considered as well as traditional and non-traditional ways of collecting data.
